Helping get ready for Little Chef

Well, Little Chef* is due in less than a month. So the pressure was on for me to get organized and send Ian's baby clothes to Alan & XW. We spent the day yesterday sorting through clothes and packing them up. Ian is learning how to use scissors in school, so he very eagerly volunteered to cut the packing tape for us. He did a great job and helped put the tape on the packages. As I was packing the boxes, I told him that these clothes were the ones that he wore when he was a baby, but now he was too big so we were going to send them to Jiu Jiu and Jiu Ma for their baby when he arrives.

Ian: "What about Lia? Lia is a baby."
Me: "Yes, but Lia is too big for these clothes. Remember when Lia first came home she was very little? Now she is much bigger."
Ian (thinking): "Oh, these clothes are for short babies."
Me (trying hard not to laugh): "Right. These are for small babies."
Ian: "But what about big GIANT babies like Lia?"

I had to excuse myself and laugh.

*For those of you who don't know, Little Chef's nickname came about because he will be born in the Year of the Rat => his parents watched "Ratatouille" => rat in the movie is called "Little Chef".
