On the way home the other day, Ian and I had this conversation:
Ian: "Mommy, we have six people."
Me: "What?"
Ian: "We have six people. Abuelita, me, Lia, you, Daddy and Grandpa."
Me: "What about Wai Po?"
Ian: "Yah, and Wai Po and Wai Gong."
Me: "And Tia..."
Ian: "And Tia and Dennis."
Me: "And Jiu Jiu..."
Ian: "And Jiu Jiu and Jiu Ma."
Me: "And what about the babies?"
Ian: "And Max. OH! And Dylan!"
Me: "And Kai Yi Po?"
Ian: "And Kai Yi Po and Kai Yi Gong."
Me: "And A-fan Yi and Uncle Allan and Peter and Carolyn."
Ian: "Yes."
Me: "And Yu-an Yi..."
Ian: "And Uncle Adam!"
Me: "And Xiao Li Yi and Uncle Joe."
Ian: "Yes."
Me: "And how about in Florida? Fernandito and Isabella and Gabriella and Daniel and Tutti?"
Ian: "Yah."
Me: "And Yadira and Cecilia and Ana Maria? And Maria Fernanda and Paula Andrea?"
Ian: "Yah. We have SO many people in Florida, we don't even know everyone's names!"
Me [trying not to laugh]: "Yes, we have a lot of people!"
Ian: "Wai Po and Wai Gong are in Taiwan."
Me: "Who else is in Taiwan?"
Ian: "Lao Wai Po and Lao Wai Gong!" [laughs hysterically at himself]
Me: "No, Lao Wai Gong is not with us anymore. Who else?"
Ian: "Lao Nai Nai!"
Me: "And Jiu Gong."
Ian: "And Jiu Gong. Jiu Gong is the president. But Florida doesn't have a president because Florida is a state."
[Pause.]
Ian: "Mommy, we're so lucky to have so many people!"

Other recent Ian sayings:
Jeff was singing something the other night and Ian says, "Daddy, you're hurting my ears!"
After Ian brushes his teeth, he often bares his teeth at me and asks, "Are my teeth shiny?"
