Ian's first Easter egg hunt

Happy Easter!

Abuelita, Tia Cindy, Tio Dennis and baby Dylan came over yesterday afternoon to celebrate Easter with us. The first thing we did was color the eggs in the morning before they came. Ian wanted to color the eggs vibrant colors, not pastels. Then he painted his name on one and stuck stickers all over them:


Daddy hid the eggs in the backyard and then we had lunch. It was a beautiful day and Ian found all 12 eggs all by himself pretty quickly:


And the last thing was the big chocolate bunny that Tia had bought for him. Ian doesn't like chocolate (woo-hoo! more for Mommy!), but he gamely set his teeth into the bunny's ear:


Afterwards, we walked to the park and Ian played on the slide and went running across the field. Of course, he fell in the middle and got lovely mud patches on the knees of his cream-colored pants. Abuelita gave him a piggy-back ride home and when we got there, he said he needed to go upstairs to change his pants. Such a good boy!

It was a really fun day and Ian had the best time, especially when Mommy whispered to him that there was pizza for dinner, at which he erupted into screams of "PIZZA! PIZZA!"

Oh, to be three years old again...
