Finally, finally, finally, here are the photos from France and our week with the McNeils. Such sweet boys. Unfortunately, they have only reinforced Jeff's conviction that we should have three boys. As I said in France, damn you, Justine!!! I was hoping the boys would be unruly and obnoxious so that Jeff would no longer thing it was such a great idea. But nooooooo. They had to be well-behaved and polite and good. Luke was especially nice to Ian the first day and was such a big brother.
The boys had fun playing in the pool and playing Uno (the card game) and watching their DVDs of a cartoon (Japanese animation, but in French) that Jeff had watched as a kid, Cite D'Or, about finding a city of gold in South America. It was a little bit scary for Ian and he was convinced that some of the characters were mad all the time because they had very heavy and dark eyebrows.
Ian especially loves croissants because Miss Pat is always buying them for the kids, so he was in heaven in Grambois. The fresh bread there was fantastic. The first morning Justine offered Ian a croissant, which of course was said with the correct French accent, so it sounds something like "crwha-san". Ian looked at her very seriously and said, "No, it's a croissant" in an extremely American accent, pronouncing every letter in the word.
Anyway, the photos have captions, so you'll get the idea. Basically, a very relaxing, enjoyable trip.

When we drove back from Grambois to Geneva, we got to spend one afternoon and evening with Grandpa and Abuelita before we had to leave. It was a bit of a rush, but still fun and Ian asked about seeing Abuelita and Grandpa for a few days after we got back.
