Helloooo 2007!

Sadly, the holidays are now over. We had such a nice time with ALL of our families. First, we went to Florida for the week before Christmas and spend Christmas with the Slater/Correa side of the family. Then we came back to NY and picked up my dad a few hours after we got home. After spending a day unpacking and repacking, we headed down to Wilmington, DE to spend time with the Feng/Wang/Chou side of the family. Wai Po arrived while we were down there and joined us as well. Then we came back home and celebrated New Year's by putting Ian to bed and watching "Superman Returns". I think we paused the movie at midnight when my mom realized it was about to become 2007. We spent New Year's Day with the Ma/Lin side of the family.

Wai Gong and Wai Po stayed for a long time on this visit, but they did have to go home eventually and left on Tuesday, Jan. 16. Ian promptly got sick after they left. He's recovered now (just a bit of cough left), but Jeff and I are still trying to recover.

Ian's so mature sometimes and then in the next minute he reminds you that he's only two. We were at Cindy and Dennis' apartment last night and Jeff went to get the car. Ian grabbed his hat and a sneaker and wanted to go "outside" with Daddy. Jeff turned and said, "Ian, Daddy is going to get the car first and then you come down with Mommy." To everyone's surprise, Ian stopped trying to get out the door and said, "Oh. Bye, Daddy. See you soon." He seemed so mature and understanding. Of course the minute Jeff shut the door and I tried actually put his sneakers and jacket on him, he took off running with one sneaker and his hat.
