Poor guy fell on the playground at school yesterday and got a red welt on his forehead across his right eyebrow. The teacher, Miss Pat, called to tell me. She was holding him and he was finally calm after a lot of hugs and TLC. She said, "His other boo-boo just healed and now he has another one. He has such a beautiful face! Poor baby." He had taken a spill on Sunday at Cindy & Dennis' place in the city. He was busy chasing pigeons around the courtyard and he tripped and his head literally bounced off the pavement when he fell forward and he had a scrape/bump on his forehead.

This morning, when I dropped him off, Miss Pat was there and then his new friend Sabrina came in. She's 21 months old and we were joking around that she's his girlfriend. They spend a lot of time together because she gets dropped off early as well, so they are the only two there in the mornings for about 30-45 minutes sometimes. She bosses him around (she tells him to sit down when he's pushing a chair around, etc.), but he just does what he does. He seemed quite happy to see Sabrina when she walked in the classroom. He immediately turned to her (I was feeding him yogurt as he was sitting in one of the little chairs) and started babbling nonsense at her. When he finished, he went off to read some books and cheerfully blew me a kiss and said goodbye. I think we definitely made the right choice with this school. Everyone there is just amazed at how quickly he has adjusted. They have already taken pictures of him and put them up on the walls of the classroom.

The teachers do a little write-up each day of his activities and they write it from his point of view. Everyday Sabrina is mentioned, so they obviously get along quite well. The other day, Miss Jenn wrote that she took out the red tunnel toy because it was rainy out and they couldn't go outside. Ian looked at her and smiled "as if to say thanks, but no thanks." That cracked me up.

Oh yes, and the other night at dinner he was rolling his eyes around like a crazy person. I do that sometimes to make him laugh and he thinks it is hilarious, so I guess he was trying to make us laugh. He is definitely silly these days. He'll pucker up his lips when he's eating to get a laugh, then he'll give an exaggerated grin showing all of his teeth. Such a little ham. Speaking of teeth, his canines have come in. They are REALLY pointy!

We are planning on going to a birthday party on Sunday where there will be ponies! This should be a lot of fun. I can't wait to see Ian's reaction!
