Ian's vocabulary

Ian's vocabulary expanded exponentially this past week. Here's a list of what we've heard so far:

peesh = please
ank oo = thank you
baboo = apple
bah = ball
nooo = no
bye
mommy
daddy
uh-oh
moo (in response to "what sound does a cow make")
ba (in response to "what sound does a sheep make")
wo-wo-wo (in reponse to "what sound does a doggie make" or if he sees a dog on TV)
na-na = banana
ick-en = chicken
nai nai = milk or his binky

Christina also said Ian said Schuyler's name yesterday. The teachers were scolding Schuyler, and Ian chimed in with "Kai-ler".

The doctor said he should have 10 "words" by 18 months, so I guess he heard that and is going the extra mile. Of course, all of the words go down the drain when he really wants something. He just grunts and points. He is also so affectionate these days. He kisses the phone whenever someone calls and wants to talk to him on speakerphone. He also knows now that you not only push the buttons on the remote, you also have to point it at the tv. Of course, he also points the cell phone and whatever else he is holding at the screen, too. like a travel-size bottle of mouthwash. Or he holds it his ear like a phone. It totally cracks me up. Actually, whenever he holds something, he either points it like a remote, holds it to his ear, or tries to comb his hair with it. I suppose that quite telling about Mommy and Daddy's behavior...
