Ian's Best Thanksgiving EVER!

How does the time get away from me? I was in California last week visiting my newest nephew, Max (or Max baby, as Ian calls him), so didn't post anything. Lots of catching up to do.

We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner at home with our friends Gary & Makiko and their boys, Thomas and Alexander. Gary brought a delicious pumpkin soup, which unfortunately, Ian didn't eat. Here are the boys as we sat down to dinner:

Ian didn't eat the pumpkin soup, but he had some turkey, corn and plain pasta.

Thomas is such a great big brother and always looks out for Ian. He and Ian watched "Wall-E", but Alex couldn't sit still.

The boys brought him two big bags of books and he promptly found the one with a dinosaur. He also loved "The Lion King" and "Jungle Book" books.

Friday morning after breakfast, Ian went with Daddy to pick out a Christmas tree. I told him to make sure it was taller than me and he took his mission very seriously. When they got home, he promptly reported that the tree was indeed "taller than you, Mommy."

Friday afternoon, Yu-an Yi and Uncle Adam arrived bearing gifts. Each of the kids got a huge box. Ian got to open his and there were three big dinosaurs!!! The biggest was a T-rex that was almost as tall as Lia. There were a lot of hugs and kisses for that!

Saturday morning, Mimi Yi (my cousin Tiffany) arrived and we went out to lunch at a new burger place. The burgers and fries were very good and they give you pizza dough to play with. Adam made a dinosaur and I made the letters of Ian's name and they baked the dough for us. The dinosaur came out looking more like a manatee...

When we got home, Jeff set up the Christmas tree, we put on some Christmas music and we decorated the tree. Adam read a book to Ian while we put the lights on the tree:

Ian did a great job this year with the ornaments and got a boost from Daddy for the top of the tree:

Once the tree was all decorated, the kids got to open their presents from Mimi Yi:

and... can you guess?

MORE DINOSAURS!!!

Sunday morning, after a big breakfast (including Taylor ham), all of the cousins left and we went to the American Museum of Natural History, a.k.a., the dinosaur museum. It was a cold rainy afternoon, so it was a perfect time to go to the museum. More on that in the next post...
