Ian's last day in Manhattan - April 13, 2006

Here are some photos from Ian's last day at his school in Manhattan. I was able to spend one last afternoon with him there when I got back from my first business trip at my new job (nothing too exciting -- I was in Buffalo).

I like to call this "The Sock Series". Watch as he removes his socks...

Poor Catherine found the stray sock later and was clearly not thrilled with it:

We love this picture... remember when you were that flexible?

Christina baked cupcakes for Ian (yellow cake with chocolate frosting) and Ian and the girls (none of the boys were in school that day) all seemed to enjoy them. Check out these photos of Ian and Annabel.

Note where the cookie is in the first photo and where the cookie is in the second photo. Annabel is moving up to take Ian's place in the Blue Room. She has been itching to get into the room with the older kids and she very eagerly tossed her cupcake over her shoulder and took Ian's half-eaten cookie.

Here are little Anna and Catherine with Miss Tiffany. Catherine ate her cupcake pretty quickly and Anna was on her second cupcake.

After the sugar overload, the kids played for a while. Ian tried to give Catherine a besito (at my request), but Catherine was clearly not going for it. He looks pretty happy about trying it anyway. (Because Ian loves that red car he's holding so much, Miss Christina gave it to him to keep.)

Then the kids went out to the playground, so I was able to get one last shot of Ian in the buggy with his friends and Miss Christina.

When we were out on the playground, his friend Javier came to say goodbye. Javier's parents are from Spain and they will be here for a few more years before they have to move on. Ian and Javier really enjoyed playing with each other, so we're going to miss them!

Miss Christina and Miss Tiffany gave Ian two books with dinosaurs in them (one has dinosaurs counting and the other has them cleaning their room). Miss Adrienn gave Ian a new dump truck. Miss Christine and Miss Christina each gave us a beautiful card. We will miss them all!!!
